If we’re so good, why aren’t we better?

Chermayeff & Geismar Collection: Box 44, Folder 6.

The Productivity Game was a give-away from a ca. 1973 Smithsonian exhibition on American productivity designed by Chermayeff & Geismar. The exhibition at the National Museum of History and Technology (now the National Museum of American History) showcased C&G’s flair for demystifying data.

The game requires a little more reflection than the classic board game “Life”, asking players to determine who the winner is. Of course, if you land on the “Your skills are obsolete” square you must go directly to unemployment or retirement.
